djmount – mount AV device as filesystem

djmount – mount AV device as filesystem.

This small software can do amazing things 🙂

Using djmount you can access transparently all UPNP/DNLA from your network with your preferred media player. This program is also present in the Ubuntu repos!

After installing djmount, open a terminal and type:

mkdir -p media/upnp

sudo chmod 777 media/upnp

sudo djmount -o allow_other media/upnp

Now you can browse “media/upnp” with your favourite file manager like any other local filesystem (and play the contained media too!)
